I'm running a killcount guess competition for the Great Arms Race event. It's open to all active players of US PSU or JP PSU with a couple of rather nice real life prizes.

Details here:

And despite what some idiot on the 4th floor has decided, no - this is not en elaborate scam.

Sigh. Makes me wonder why I bother sometimes.

Sorry you're getting some naysayers. I will definitely be participating, I'm glad to see there are still some good souls left on the Xbox servers.

Very nice.

Just curious as to where the prize funding comes from?

Hah, I wish - but as a few people said it's self funded. It's hard enough to even get Sega to hand out casino coins.

Its great to see there is still somewhat of a community left in the Xbox 360 side though you would never know it by going to to a main universe and seeing all the demoppl. Diadu!

Other than for the praise and love of the community why would you offer to do this out of your own pocket?

What is your incentive? Do you have infiinte funds for this sort of thing?

And please don't get me wrong, I applaud your generosity. I only ask out of curiosity.

The hidden agenda is to take over the world. O sorry the universe :-P

Incentive: it's fun / karma / it feels good to do good things occasionally.
Infinite funds: ha, no - don't expect these often. I plan to hold a similar competition every time there's a killcount event, last time the prize was a PSU GM wristband and an inflatable rappy, with $80 or so going to charity too - won by Sgt Namaan. I was going to give away a brand new Japanese PSU USB keyboard this time, but I couldn't part with it in the end. Hard to get another.

To rig it you'll need to hack the Sega webservers.

Which apparently isn't that difficult.
