Multiplayer offline

Ive been playing PSOX solo offline, id like to take advantage of some other section ID's on a higher difficulty. If i make a new character get him into hard mode, my plan is to log into both chars as if im playing with someone but its just me. if i have my main guy just clear the path and the other char who is basically there just for his section ID, lets say if im killing things in room C and the second char thats just standing there is back in room A just standing there, will i still be getting the benefit of having both different section ID's present while im killing the monsters? also for the boss fight if one were to die and be dead the whole time while i finish the boss, do i still get the benefit of having the second section ID preset?

im trying to get the dragon slayer but dont have the proper section id for it

1. PSOX I believe does not have a Multiplayer? I never owned an Xbox so I don't know for sure.

2. If your playing multi-player the drop rates fall under the first player's ID and no one else's no matter what.

PSOX does support Offline Split Screen (I used to play it all the time with my brother and a friend)
As NegaTsukasa said the ID is going to fall under first player's no matter what.
Also keep in mind when you start to play Split-screen the monsters gain higher stats.
