There was a boost time GRM was in last so they shot to first. This has been happening all event not sure why you posted this.

First place has generally shifted between GRM and Yohmei throughout most of the event. That being said, all of us are really running for 'Team Kubara' anyways, lol. FYI, if you are expecting to get the Firearm for supporting GRM you are going to be very disappointed.

Sadly, IMHO the only Company that got an upgrade after SEGA decided to change the event rewards is Tenora. If I played Fighmaster (which I don't), I would rather have a 40% Light Spear, which is actually good except for IIRC the Accuracy, than a 35% Dark Axe. But to each his own, I suppose. BTW, if 'Yohmei' doesn't win, there are going to be a bunch of really pissed off Techers (myself included), lol.

The Ank Gearz is, by far, much cooler than the Berdysh. No one got an upgrade. All three companies received a significant downgrade in their prizes.

Well I would say that is subjective. I will grant you that the Ank Gearz certainly looks cooler than the Berdysh, and it probably has some cool sound effect or something when you use it. Unless you plan on running Agata Islands where nothing good will drop even when S3 comes out due to low creature level, or you enjoy running White Beast, you would have few 'practical' uses for a Dark Axe.

Sure, there are some other missions where light creatures (e.g. Kogg Nad, Svaltus, Rainbow Beast, Adahnna, etc.) appear here and there. I just know that I personally prefer doing predominately Dark missions, to predominately Light missions and have setup my weapon set accordingly. I am *usually* willing to pay a little more for a Light weapon than I am for the equivalent Dark version since the Dark version will get less use. That is not to say that I only have Light and Dark weapons, however.

The other two (GRM and Yohmei), I agree, did receive a significant downgrade. And if Yohmei doesn't win, the kick in the crotch will feel like a kick in the crotch combined with a slap to the face, lol. If the Motav Prophecy has 'nerfed stats' I might just NPC the damed thing, lol. More realistically, I won't use it very much if it is nerfed. I am just curious how many people still think we are getting the original event rewards and chose their Manufacturer according to that erroneous belief.

WTF?! You mean I DON'T get a Gun that looks like a cool Sniper Rifle?!?!

Of course, if SEGA had either 1) Given us the original event rewards or 2) Given us the new event rewards in addition to the original event rewards, this would be a moot point. SEGAC!!!

Can someone explain this event to me? I have no idea what to choose.

To find out what reward the supporters of each Manufacturer will receive, go here: http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/event/makerrace2011/en/outline/. Before you can play the event missions, you have to pick a Manufacturer. The event is over this coming Thursday / Friday 07/15/2011. We will have unlocked all panels, which means a grind boost, synth boost, clothing discount, 3 star luck for everyone, extra casino coins, a PA leveling boost, a +15 boost for the next Guardian's Boost Road, etc...

Accuracy is important on lasers because of the PA's low Acc modifier. This video speaks for itself.

lol. It's nothing like it was in PSO. It's very bland, basic, and worse because of the hit area.

The small width of the shot will make it harder to hit all the enemies in a spawn.

Low accuracy + small shot width = someone begging to have lower DPS.

Yeah it's not like most enemies move around or anything.

I see what you did there.

Unfortunately, it's pretty true. The stats and reduced ability to hit enemy hit boxes doesn't make it all that great of a laser cannon. It's an ok to weapon to use and all, but there are better lasers out there.

I'm by no means a laser cannon expert, but facts are facts.
GRM, it was a noble effort, but just let us casters have our prize.
