Help- new to PSU

Hey, I'm new to Phantasy Star Universe and have just purchased my GUARDIANS pass, so I go to the title screen of the game(Xbox) and click live, it begins to search or login to the server but then stops and an error message says that it could not connect to server and that it may be down due to maintenance.
I've checked the sites/forums and it seems there is no maintenance :S

Could anyone possibly help me out please? :)

You need the Ambition of Illuminus expansion these days. You can download it for free, if I recall correctly. Just go to the game marketplace and search by title, go to the letter P and scroll down until you see PSU.

Ah, I forgot to mention that I had that downloaded :S still not working :/

You're telling it you want to load AOTI when the prompt pops up on the first title screen, right?

Yup , the it take me to the AOTI screen and the only option there is to click Xbox Live, which I do and then it searches for servers :S

and you're definitely signed into Xbox Live? If that's not the case, all I can recommend is resetting your router and trying again. Good luck.

Not sure what's up with it then. I guess you could try at a later time? Or back out to the dashboard and try again.

Go to your XBox Network Settings and change your DNS numbers.

Primary change to 4.2.2.3
Secondary change to 4.2.2.4

This should work for you. Many people have had the same problem :) Good luck and welcome to the game.
