As usual balancing by making EVERYONE better but NOBODY worse. Seriously? How about buffing those enemies for once or something at least?

Here are some corrections and specifics on the update:

Mission updates
* Passport to Subspace C-A will be updated so that you do not have to use the character download service on the PSP2 site to be eligible to receive an Exam after clearing a certain number of stages. But remember, you still can only get one Exam per character.
* PA Trading Post will be updated with new photon arts.
* Special Exchange 3rd will be updated with new items.

System updates
* The following new TECHNICs will be added:
- Sabarta (ice)
- Sazonde (lightning)
- Samegid (dark)
* The following photon art balances will be made:
- The power of LV41+ elemental rifle bullets will be boosted.
- The power of LV41+ elemental laser cannon bullets will be boosted.
- The power of LV41+ elemental twin handgun bullets will be boosted.
- The power and attribute rate of LV41+ elemental handgun bullets will be boosted.
* Shots fired from the following ranged weapons while in first-person mode will receive boosted power and accuracy:
- Rifles
- Longbows
- Laser cannons
- Twin handguns
- Handguns

Item updates
* New items will be added included Lost Breaker (sword) and Gale Bringer (axe).
* Casino rotation.

Sa- doesn't look very impressive. It's looks like ra except as a sphere. Does it hit multiple points on its own?

If they want to buff ranger types, they should just give them explosive rounds.

I think the Sa-techs might be a game-changer for techers actually o.o They're slow-moving, persistent AoEs, so they may not hit multiple points, but they do hit the same target multiple times. They can also hit a target while the techer is doing something else. Think of them as mini EX-traps.

Sazonde in particular looks interesting because it launches. Imagine a Guntecher using Sazonde to juggle a pair of Magashis, then using cards to take them out while they're being bounced up and down, or an Acrotecher using Sazonde on a SEED-Vitace to keep it stunlocked so it doesn't do that annoying Jellen spin, then finishing it with Hikai.

On the Sa-series of TECHNICs, I feel I should point out that they will differ from how they worked in Infinity. This was pointed out last week in the official JP PSU Twitter feed (you can read about it here: http://forum.psupedia.info/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1573). No specifics were given, but maybe another tweet will come across before this update hits to let us know how they'll work.

Looks to me like a question of speed vs. quality. The update is a week away though - think about it in numeric terms - 164 hours in advance vs 163 hours in advance. I don't think it makes a big difference. Not to mention the majority of "people" you are referring to seem to prefer quality as well, and the ones who do want to know ASAP can use Google Translate themselves. I'd really suggest saving yourself the effort.

Sa-Barta: 1 x Blank Disc, 30 x Rayspheres
Sa-Zonde: 1 x Blank Disc, 30 x Zonspheres, 1 x Nos-Zonde

EDIT:
Well I'm on free course and only were able to get Sa-megid. It's a stationary orb that doesn't seem to do any damage (not even 1s popping up) only has the confuse status effect. In fact, it doesn't even have a damage modifier! You only gain exp on it is if it manages to inflict the confuse status (Confuse Lv. 2 at level 1).

<_< Just got Sabarta and it also does no damage...just might freeze enemies. I don't even know what to say to this bullshit.

Edit: And if I am not mistaken I think it was possible to cast more than one Sa technic at a time if you casted fast enough. But from what it looked like as soon as you recast Sabarta the other one disappears.

99 each of Gachnium, Paural, Gurtite. 45 Chronoseline. 3 of the new weapons with the special characters on them. EDIT: The sword, bow and axe.

There's also a body unit that requires evil curst, vijeri/resist, megisphere, and rykros eye. Probably a set with the new armor.

Sabarta actually gets worse at 11. At 1-10 it can hit like an aoe, 11+ can barely hit anything unless they form a line.

Makarukaheshi maintains Vijeri / Resist's incapacitation nullification. I've updated our article on it with data that was just added to JP wiki.

Nel, I guessing that the new armor has 50 atp more to do 10 dmg more compared to the shijin, But it's to early to tell if it's all round better or not and we don't know if the person was using it with the unit or not. We need more info.

Agreed, watch the Armor and unit has a Set to allow you to do Dmg with the Sa-Spell lol and watch it be super OP too. lol

But realistically other then the two weapons everything else looks like a epic fail to me. But we will wait to see what it has first then trash them or go bonkers over those items.

lol the funny thing is even with Evil Crust the SE rate on Sa - Barta is worse then Gi - Barta. O.O not good at all......some one pinch me I must be dreaming ...... We Got new spells that are like are firework traps just for show but less pretty. :(

Man, they could of gave the Sa-megoo pie the ability to do Virus instead of confusion At least then there could of been one that did Dmg thru SE effect. lool a Multi - Debuffer or something.:-?

EDIT: Using grants ( my tech isnt 50 and im not gased)

Shijin Combo : 5482
Ryukoh Combo + Feril / Force + casting faster : 5703

=221 tech more than shijin LOL
=158 OFF element
Plus you cast faster with Feril / Force

It is a resist unit, but you would be using it in near all dark missions, also outside of that i mean you don't always need a resist unit lol

I use freeze/resist most of the time in dark missions (get 21 Sta from lvl3STA and Hizeri)

You're gonna need a sleep/freeze/silence resist still which nullifies the boost...yeah forgot about stun/resist.

I almost always use a freeze resist when doing dark missions. The few times where rainbow units are used, I think it would be very difficult to efficiently switch armors, head unit and body unit before the next mob.

Unless we are able to kill monsters in less hits, I think we can pass this armor combo. But yes, I can see it performing well for certain dark missions.

BTW Sa techs are considered support techs so we can dub them totally useless for MF.

Having no stun/resist in the relics area in dts usually ends with me failing the quest.

Does mantra do anything with it?

I don't have a mantra.

I agree that it wouldn't be useful for every mission. but the 221+ TECH, faster casting time and more TECHNIC range Ill take with open arms for missions that don't require freeze or sleep resists. :)

It would be nice to see Sega giving gunners Charge Shots...but...I know they are being a bunch of lazy bums to implement such luxury.

Techer maybe base armor hmm...... DeltaViolet+ Did you do a Defensive test with the Set? also try it with Mantra when you do get it and weapons just to be sure there isn't anything where missing, Big TY in Adv. from everyone too.:)

Man I getting more bumped about this update it's total fail and it had so much pol-tensional.:nono:

lol Sa-spell's support lol they can't even do that good, more of an epic fail. We all know what the S and A stand for in Sa now lol.:etongue:

Yeah, The new Armor boost is no good for me unless something comes form it soon. don't really need resist at all since I can block, take 0 Dmg, have higher Sta from SE type of attacks. The only one's that can put SE's on me is if they have Lv4+ and that's mostly bosses which is fine with me. At least I won't die to a pip squeak and I'm a Cast too of all things.^^

Lol, did you guys honestly think they would port the overly broken original Sa techs to PSU? Hell no and you should not only have known better, you should have absolutly expected they would nerf them to hell and back. The SA techs are basically the "Limit Break" spells for Acrotecher.

* Maintenance was extended to 19:30 JST to complete final testing.
* Maintenance ended at 18:45 JST. There is a patch to download, however the game remains at ver.2.0014.10.
* The descriptions of the Sa-TECHNICs are incorrect, as they do not properly describe how they behave in PSU. This will be fixed in a future update.
