what where the enemy types one of them sounded really interesting I think it was alternate dimension? I wonder if that has anything to do with the story

Are you thinking of the Daken? I forget if that's the name of all the dark-ish enemies but I believe it's the name of the little spiderish fellows that can show up on any planet.

IIRC dark and "alternate dimension" are seperate types.
My guess is that AD is just altered beast translated badly. But then again I think there was a mutant type? I don't remember.
