I'm going to say this for the 9 millionth time. The 360 has its limitations. If the required data doesn't exist on-disc, nothing new can be put into the game (which is why we're able to get PSP1 stuff, but not any PSP2 or original stuff). Until Sega agree to give us this content in the form of an expansion pack, then this is how it's gonna be. Sure, it's depressing, but that's shitty console gaming for you.

If they kept the EU/US PC servers up, then at least there would be no legit excuse for them (at least on that side) to not put the content in that version, and I'm sure within that time, the 360 servers would be a ghost town by now.

So...basically:

1) Great Arms Race 2 will be a big fest of rare weaponry.
2) Training Missions is an excuse to add filler content for lazy players who want easy EXP and MP.
3) New Free Missions? More junk to the catalogue. And more stressing GBRs with almost unworthy items, and ubers with drop rates less than 0.0005% chance.
4) Mission redistribution? I'll rephrase that: They are S3ing deprecated missions nobody ever dared to touch before because nothing drops there.
5) Project CUTE = Project Fanservice = Custom item contest stuff with a fancy name.
6) New items on pics: Eternal Psycho Drive (red pwand), Double Strong Cannon, Ultimate Chain, and Twin Nanoblast Daggers (I should check the name again later...I dont recall at all)
7) Collab items? Really? They will simply recycle clothes and weaponry from PSP2/i and rename them. They have permissions of the respective companies anyway.
8 ) New BGMs? Yeah, there are a few BGMs from PSP2i lacking, like Dilla Bravas, Dark Falz Dios and Yaoroz BGMs.
9) PA ballancing: AC and Retsuzan nerfing...nuff said.
10) GC4...more crappy revamped missions where only noob luck counts to make it worth running.
11) GBR new % modifier? Okay...I'll take it they will apply some extra boosting to a certain mission per day or some cheap stuff like that...or they will just be lazy and apply a secret boost according to the present party members (example: 4 members = +25% extra boost added to cummulative %)
12) More Special Weeks: The void between events = Filler contents.
13) Wall of text....!!! Yay!....nah, jk.

*breathes deeply* Nuff bitching for today, lol.

Apparently, from the PSO2 forums, alpha test 2 is scheduled for the beginning of 2012. The usual practice of other developers is for the next stage i.e. closed or open beta to be 3 months after, and then a further 1-3 months for full release.

Your acting as if Masteforce cant do anything yet thats not quite true Masterforce is still a very powerful class ive seen Odessa's and others Mf videos and they still tear missions up so what if acrofighter and fighmaster and the other fighting classes are better.
Masterforce is still a very good class if you want to ta with it just do it and dont concern yourself that af ect ect is somewhat faster.

No PSP2 enemies are in PSU period. With the exception of Bil De Golus and Helga, who are are the only newly implemented enemies in PSP1. But even they aren't in the game. I don't get how they don't have an inclusion STILL after this game has gone PC onry. I would have loved to fight Helga in a higher quality.

As for PA balancing and 3rd Update Customizations...

I can only imagine a Grants Limit Break, along with Regrants Limit Break...and I wonder if they will "balance" assault crush.

I can't. Something about knowing that you could be finishing missions easier and faster with other classes kills the whole experience for me. The same thing happened to Bobby and why he and others kinda dropped MF. It's not a big deal, the game is old and tired. If MF becomes top tier again, I'll play, and if not, I won't play. I just get bored too fast.

They need to help out Masterforce with something since its a pain in the ass leveling without any sort of limit break even with a pallet full of top notch gear. Maybe they can bump up diga/foie to hit 3 targets until limit break to give it its 4th hit.

why do some people believe they're shutting down the 360? they can perfectly well keep it like it is and still make money. It's the fact that they don't do the work that's killing the 360 with re-skins.It all goes back to mag in the end.

If they had a choice between which switch to pull down, they would pull 360 one with no doubt. If it's about which ones gives them the most money, you already know which one wins by far, lol.
Lolz this ^

Well color me in green in envy. Yet another smorgasbord of content for the dear JP server... Again. All the way to March. Still no plans for implementing the PSP2 enemies I see lol. Not even Bil De Golus? Come on Sega, thats a reskin for crying out loud, you have the means to do that dragon some justice at least.
Since the supplemental update the JP servers have been getting more supplemental updates in the 1st half of each year.
In the 1st half of 2009 was the supplemental update, in the 1st half of 2010 was the update 2nd, in the 1st half of 2011 was the update 3rd, if it goes on like this, sometime after this longterm schedule we should be seeing an update 4th.

I wonder if they might add enemies or bosses with that. Well, they added a PSPo2i boss music recently to the JP servers (which can be used in the current event), the addition of new enemies and bosses could still be possible. ^^;

Or maybe I'm just expecting too much, haha.

Obviously, but if they're both making them money they're going to both stay up for a while. When PSO2 comes out I can see them dropping support for the xbox 360, but I think they'll still keep the servers open.

If they did that the Sega CEO would have alot of rioting americans at his front doorstep which would delay content for you so respect the 360.

hahahahahhahaha:D
you don't know how funny your post just was

I agree, i never had respect for the xbox consoles at all, to much elitism arround it (not to mention the 12yo kids), but when i heard 360 server stayed open i started to hate them even more.

And like sega would really care if they had 360 fanboys on their doorstep, did they care for the PC/PS2 users when our servers got shut down? No. They won't care either for the 360 players when the server will get shut down.

It's a miracle the 360 servers are even still up and running, guess Microsoft has to much influence on Sega here.

Since development and marketing costs (i.e. effort into making/translating/advertising new content) for are almost 0. The only real costs they incur are probably server upkeep and bandwidth, and maybe a token fee to M$. So I'm pretty sure that as long as there are at least 30 or so players subscribed, Sega already makes a profit from PSU 360 :O

30 players = 30 * 10 = 300 dollars/euros

I'm not sure with how many employees you're trying to run a gaming server, forum and whatnot? ^^;

The forum's integrated into the main Sega forums, and the moderators are all community members o.o The server admin doesn't need to man the server full time either. Assuming a US$20/hour pay rate, that's enough to pay for somewhere around 10 man-hours per month after accounting for misc expenses like electricity, ISP bills etc. That's enough for 1 person for 2 hours of weekly maintenance. If SoA is hiring 1 IT person full time just to maintain their PSU servers, I think someone at their HR department needs to be fired =p

P.S. I know their maintenance lasts much longer than 2 hours but seriously what do they do with all that time? =/

If 30 players is all it takes then why did PC/PS2 get shut down? There were at least 100 players on if not more each time i played. I know it's an example mind you :)

Actually, its about 4000 players active subscribe usually with the occasional bump during events and the like. Most people don't play it daily and the stable daily population ranges from 200 to 1000 a day. Monthly thats more like 40,000 bucks and that more than pays for the games upkeep and a tidy profit. During events its likely to bump that up to over 60,000 with the return of event players who cancel and the like until events. Since that means they make about 200,000 or more a year off of PSU subscriptions then that would add significantly to the profit of SoA which isn't particularly profitable to begin with.

Course in JP, a single player may spend more than a thousand dollars on GC stuff meaning that PSU could theoritically make over a million a month (though likely much much less than that) for SoJ. That would likely make PSU its single most profitable series currently and the reason they would like to keep them happy over there.

If they kept PC/PS2 up today, they'd actually have to pour money into development for supplemental updates!

Notice that PC/PS2 was shut down just before 360 got their supplmemental update (the first one I think?)

Yeah it was a month or two before that update i think. Either so, i still hate sega for closing down the servers, if they get so many money from the 360 servers they could easly keep the pc/ps2 servers running against very low costs either.

However when theres no profit in what your paying for it only makes sense to get rid of something that has no value to you and pay more money on the other thats giving you the better profit.

I was more then willing enough to pay every 2 months (I could only buy 60 days) to play this, heck i only started online during Shred the Darkness event so i still had tons more to explore, my main was only lv120 or so and my alt's all like lv20 or lower.

I never got to fully enjoy the game, i played it offline for a good while but that's boring so i went online after convincing my parrents finnaly to use their credit card.

Ah well things happend, it just pisses me off when i see 360 players whine and complain about slow updates and such, cause they can at least still play. And no JP server is no option for me, ás much i love japanese i can't stand playing the game in all JP (I tried it for 2 weeks and then never touched it again) and i just lost intrests in the game in general when they shut down the servers.

Which is kinda why i'm happy PSO2 is PC only and not seperated like PSU.

pso2 only being for the pc is iffy to me i prefer to play my games on consoles as i hate pc gaming in general.the 360 players gripe because they shouldn't have to put up with re-skins and other issues that are mainly sega's fault for not fixing or badly addressing them.Either way a global server is the best way for pso2 to be done and the only way i'd consider buying it.

To SEGA it may have been "marketing" or upkeep costs, but the players it was a failure. PC/PS2 players own a pair of titles (PSU and PSU-AoTI) which no longer have Online Components, yet are still sold over the counter for the singleplayer without any warning on the box that the game no longer is supported online unless its 360 or PSU JP.
