Im going to get flamed for this, I know. Hence, the title. But you know what, bring it on, I'll eat it up and get some good kicks out of some of the flame you're going to throw at me.. such as

"Y U COMPLAIN, U SHOOD JUST PLAE ANUTHER GAEM!"
-I don't want to :bunny:

"DUN POEST HURE IF U DUN LAIKE US"
-I don't normally. :hamster:

"WE R TEH ALL BESTEST U R TEH DUM 1!~"
-Keep telling yourself that :cowsleep:

Of all the communities I've been apart of / led in the past 10 years, I have NEVER had a community that was so WHINY and MEAN to each other as this one. So I come rarely. (Which is why I don't have, say 3500 posts)

I would have thought as a game you have to pay for (Vs the free games) there'd be more mature adults playing rather than kids.. (who dont have debit cards lying around [I suppose they could steal their parents' but thats another rant..])

But then again.. World of Warcraft's community is worse. lol!

It's hilarious some of the 'arguments' people have on here and on the sega forums.. and even when I post a blatantly obvious sarcastic statement, the unintelligent person is like "I agree, caiterz! See someone gets me!" LOLOLOL.

People whining and actually quitting the game because for the .3 seconds during an attack they cant see a slightly altered version of a weapon. If you really are focused on your sword instead of where you are in relation to your team members and the monsters, then you've probably got some very strange methods of playing... (such as show off only?)

Why focus on the bad things? You cant be happy that we just got the BEST A rank WHIP IN THE WHOLE bloody game in these new missions???? I am happier THAN HELL I can get a new awesome set of whips, and retire my Splashers. (I know, many opinions dont take in consideration of the Stun on them, but IMO it's mandatory, and thats A COMPLETE different topic right there)

When others give helpful, useful information, many trolls shoot them down before they even get one comment. Why bash someone that's trying to help? What happened to "If you dont have anything good to say, dont say it at all!"?

Heck, even on another PSO forum, I was randomly banned because an admin was 'adamant' that this random guy... I'd never even heard of, and was posting on an account separate from mine... and didnt mention me at all.. was 'hacking' peoples accounts or.. whatever. (Not sure what really happened there, other than they randomly blamed me and my brother for it)

So yep. I'm pretty disgusted by the phantasy star community.

That is all.

360 community has a bunch of bad apples. Gotta look hard to find the good people.

That and whore yourself out as an Acrotecher buff mag.

You should see the pspo2 community... =_=;
Aside from the few dozen legit players, there's a lot of GF/BF lobbies, hackers, and 200 noobs that think they're better than everyone.

Visuals of weapons were always a big part of the Phantasy Star games for me. One of the best thrills besides having a good time with friends was spending the time and finally (or getting lucky) finding that awesome looking weapon or the weapon with the awesome effect.

This game now mostly lacks both. I had a few people I ran with normally and are great people. But as far as the community goes? Forget it. This may be an X-box thing, but I personally think it's just the way people are growing up now and it hasn't caught on enough for something to be done about it (as far as phishing and dishonesty goes)

I've played the game for five years now. At the very LEAST I'd like it to be complete at that point--and it's not even close. The 360 is lucky to have (or had) a strong persistent community pushing to keep it going with things like games on demand, etc.

PSO is sadly still a better game to play because it's complete and pretty much everything is available to you.

As I have come to say a lot, these are the rules to follow in the PSO2 forums if you don't wanna start a fight:

1. Don't say anything in PSO was better than PSU

2. Don't say anything good about PSU. Period. This always causes fights.

3. Don't call PSO/PSU/PSO2 a MMO. You'd be surprised at the fights we've had over it.

There are probably more that I forget. Yes, the community is that bad. And yes, I am on the OP's side.

Stay far away from games like DotA/HoN, if you think the PS community is bad.
Just a friendly tip.

Yeah, to add to that, you probably want to stay away from No Mutants Allowed as well. Especially if you actually liked Fallout 3.

You should just avoid all communities because there are no good people to play games with ever.

Quit any mmo, fps, rts etc and just play solitare for life. Cuz the only problem with that is that you suck at it.

Story of the internet, OP. Most communities has some sort of shit going on.

Few people already beat me to saying it but yeah, there's way worse.

You'd love the communities of PVP based games.

Or you could be like me and use it for entertainment when you're bored, procrastinating productive hobbies, with your friends or not at work. It's way better than TV!

And yeah it seems like a lot of people just see this place from behind a glass and avoid it. then act like it's worse than it really is. Which isn't wrong but it's another story when they make a rare post or a topic, and they end up looking like the craziest person in the room.

Why is this surprising at all? Given any game put it into any forum and you will have always different opinions as to what makes that game great or not. You will always have wish lists that will elate some and infuriate others. Topics of what is the best way versus the wrong way. Topics of what said game is missing or has too much of. Every gamer claim rights to said game as if it were their own personal creation just by merely playing it. When you have any group of people thinking that they know how best to enjoy said game you will have conflict. It is unavoidable.

Aside from that, this group is a cheeky bunch overflowing with little gems for members. Not as vulgar/racial/offensive/perverse as some I have seen.

I'm a proud, card carrying member of PSO-World... what can I say.

It's a shame that communities can get like that. its rare to find a cluster of people that just go with the flow and not make a big deal about the tiniest thing.

I avoid those vitriolic type of threads all together. -_- I try to stay where the communities are clean of all that internet drama crap.

Nah I take it back, gamers can get pretty psycho.
