Heavy Punch?

I was looking at this upcoming GAS item, Heavy Punch.

I was wondering how it works though.

Is it that it lowers the DFP / MST temporarily, so when it works the next couple hits should be stronger?

Or is it just like, a random critical attack that only has higher damage for 1 hit?

So in other words it's just an extra critical? I wonder if it's even as much damage as a critical? (Probably not...)

Depends on the defense of the monster.

The current event S3 boss in jp has a 2000% defense modifier, so heavy punch/overswing reduces it by a lot. It allows normal traps to damage it instead of hitting 0s.
