Not technically pso2, but close enough for the bored. Haven't been able to really try and play yet, so it might be completely unplayable without Japanese, but anyway, to register for a Yahoo Japan id (required for mobage):

* click the key button
* then the bold blue text bottom-right
* then enter a new yahoo mail (use something long/obscure, a lot seem taken)
* enter password twice
* pick a username (used to log in with password)
* an address (I put 1520001)
* pick gender
* date of birth (year month day, but using Japanese eras, so use a year of 1~2 digits)
* existing email (used for verification link)
* then pick whatever from the drop-down boxes
* put in something for the secret answer
* untick that checkbox to prevent getting spam
* and enter the Captcha

I guess GTranslate would've done the job as well. Whoops.

Anyway, sleep.

e: crap, it won't it let me edit the thread title, but I accidentally wrote Eternal Hunters while it's called Eternal Planets

Phantasy Star Eternal Hunters Browser Based game...

It's Phantasy Star, It's online, it's new and we're all bored, as OP explained.

That's why at least.

Have fun. I didn't enjoy it during the short testing period.

Another card game?

Is it at least a fraction of the depth of PSO EpIII?

Mike

Cards? No, that's just the way it looks. It's more turn-based rpg than anything.

Oh. Well, my question still stands. Why didn't it appeal to you?

Looks like those other unappealing browser based games...

But with PSU avatars..

Yeah, i dont even bother with browser based crap. The only reason im asking is because it's PSU based.

But I have no clue why im expecting it to be decent...

It is a game designed to pull money out of people with microtransactions with real-time timers, gatchas, breaking weapons and everything. It's very difficult to do much unless you actually spend money to buy in game money. More than that, it's nothing more than a simple RPG. Attack until special is charged, use special, repeat.

The PvP bit is new though and something I haven't tried but I don't plan on it.

Koreans have utterly wrecked online games for the rest of forever.

Yes, i blame them for crappy online game mechanics. People should find more modest ways to coax money out of people than pissing them off. What ever happened to people paying to play the game because it's deep, fun and has alot of content avaliable? Recent games just squeeze money out of people by making them pay to repeatedly use the content they already obtained...

Anyway, stopped caring at weapons breaking. If you're going to coax money out of people, at least make a game that isn't garbage.

Any phone PS game won't be worth anyone's time.

If you have to look for info on the game, chances are it's just a side project from sega for quick cash.

Other than them releasing PS II on iDevices.

They should've released PS IV, imo. Looks leagues more modern than the previous 3 and probably would've sold more as PS II (well, PS in general) is more cult popular.

well, you can choose NPC party or random people party, which put 3 random players with you, but CPU take control of them... and there are a PVP arena too, but too, CPU control other person characters... maybe sega add it on future updates, idk..
a very simlar game on facebook is ninja saga, it featured real time PVP, but developers has removed this feature for some reason

Looking for a PS game to play until PSO2 comes out? Why not PS2?

I just wrote that because I played through PS2 on my holiday. My recommendation is still to stick with 4. 1 and 2 are neat, but are a real pain too. And 3 barely counts as being part of the series.
