Sup guys, I'm looking for a new monitor, since I've been stuck with my 17 inch for like...7 years now. Here's my computer stats, since I'll need one that I can run games on but still with decent settings.

AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2 Ghz
4 GB (2GBx2) of DDR3 ram, dual channel, at 1600
HIS ATI Radeon 5670 1 GB

Any suggestions? After the monitor upgrade I might go for a graphics card, though arguably I should go for the graphics card first.

Well, I just got my 18.5" yesterday, and I love it. But, that's probably because I'd been looking at a shitty little laptop screen for the past six years. This is like looking at a TV for me (since my actual TV isn't a whole lot bigger). But, I'd wager that you're probably looking for something more substantial than just a 1.5" upgrade.

Yeah I'm looking around at the 23" monitors, hopefully one with a 2ms rate. I may need to buy a graphics card to go with it, however, as mine is pretty old.

I would suggest any monitor that can go up to 1920x1200 since your PC looks pretty good. You could also hook it up to a good size HDTV if you wanted to but most of them have lower resolutions than your standard PC monitor. Also make sure it has a good refresh rate so you don't have issues with streaming graphics and video

Yeah, for a resolution like 1920x1080 you'll definitely need a better graphics card if you want to play games. The HD5670 is not old though, it just wasn't made for such high resolutions, it was released just as a mid-low end sub $100 card.

Around March there's going to be new graphics cards that could be nice replacements for that card, the mid/high end HD7000 series (the best single-gpu from the HD7000 series is already going to be released on early January, the HD7970).

I've been using an Asus 23" LED-LCD for about a year. Love it so far.
This seems similar: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236174

For reference, here's the one I have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236095

I actually just ordered a new 23" monitor a few minutes, ago. x_X If I remember, I'll tell you what I think of it after testing it out for a bit! ^^

I picked it up for its specs (1920x1080p, great contrast ratio & refresh rates, brightness, etc etc), price, and the free one-year extended warranty, as well as having both HDMI and DVI ports. I would've preferred something that was LED backlit, but I thought this was a really good deal.

If it was a few minutes ago, I'd personally look into canceling and buying the one I linked instead. The one I linked is bigger (0.6 inches), has a LED back light, potentially better contrast ratio (it appears they use different measures), and the warranty is 3 years as it is. And if you use basic shipping, the one I linked would be cheaper by $4.
