Okay, it's a little bit difficult at first, but once you get it it's pretty smooth sailing.

Firstly, you want to check out this wiki, just to look things over (it is old an outdated, so, just give it a once-over for the sake of information); http://psupedia.info/Joining_the_Japanese_Server

The only big thing you have to do here, is set up japanese on your comp, so go to step two on that page and follow that.

Secondly, you want to download the client; http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/download/psuilluminus/httpdownload/

Download all four of those files, and save them in an empty folder on your desktop. Once all files are through downloading, run the setup.exe (don't forget to run it as an administrator). A little clickable splash screen should pop up, click the second button from the top. The game should launch, and then you press enter. Once you get to the main screen, click the middle button, the top on should be greyed out, and the bottom one should be to exit. It should take you to a login screen. Leave that in the background for a second while you do the third step.

Third step, make an account, here is a link; http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/entrance/

Click the red button with the girl. Now, here is where it gets tricky. I strongly recommend using Google Chrome for this process, as it is REALLY easy to translate a page without leaving it.

But I'll walk you through it anyways.

The first page you see after clicking the red button at the top with the girl, is an email page. The two empty blanks at the top should be where you enter your email. Email in the first box, repeat it in the second for confirmation.

Once you're through with that, hit the green button right below it.

The next page is nothing, really. Go to your email, and open the confirmation link.

Okay, just fill in the boxes with the info I give you unless otherwise noted;

瀬賀

太郎

セガ

タロウ

(box to the left) 123 (box to the right) 4567

東京都新宿区○○町1-1

(box on the left) 03 (box in the middle) 1234 (box on the right) 5678

(box on the left) 1980 (box in the middle) 01 (box on the right) 01

(this is the part with the little bubble and you can choose one or the other) male is left, female is right

Underneath gender selection is your login/username selection. type it in, and hit the button right under that, that's 'checking the id' to see if it's available.

The last two boxes are password, top one is enter, bottom one is reenter for confirmation. Your passwords need at least one number in it.

Once you're through with that, hit the button at the bottom. It should show you a screen that lists your info. Remember your Username, your Password, and your Email.

Hit the green button again. The last page is nothing, you can close out of it now.

Okay, back to the game client;

Log in, PSU ID is your username, and the bottom box is the password. Then click the button. Hit enter, and then go to the line of text that ends with the number 1, and hit enter again.

はい = Yes. Click on that.

いいえ = No. Don't click on that.

Hit enter again, aaaaaand VIOLA~! You're in. Pick a character slot and go at it!
