Eh, I'm pretty sure if they didn't want us in they would've never sent out the keys to us.
They could've done checks on how the accounts were made instead of relying on mere jp home addresses and names (i don't think many here were using jp proxies...).

I dont see anything wrong with just making all of our rooms say "PSOW-(name)" on them. There are a good number of us, but in the grand scheme of players who made it in this test, we should be a minority.



And honestly, with the NDA lifted, i really dont think Sakai has an issue with us seeing the game. It's not like they don't know we exist. They openly address us and everything.

Me and a group of others have been grouping up in skype for now. Right now we have a conversation for the alpha where we've been adding people. If it keeps growing we're thinking on moving it to mumble.

At least keeping the Skype group as an option, I feel, is a good idea. Skype provides for nice easy voice chat options that can run in the background while we play in game.

Nonetheless, an IRC channel is also a great idea, and the more options people have to link up, the better.

EDIT: And considering the possibility of the TEAM system from PSO's return, I feel coming up with a guild/TEAM name for us all could be a good idea. It'll make things easier to coordinate, to say the least, if that feature is implemented, and having an already prepared name seems like it'll make things easier.

However, I don't want to make it something TOO obviously made by english speakers, because even and especially if they are allowing westerners in despite having rules against it, if there are a bunch that are going to make a team, it would be better to at least respect them by not waving it in their face that westerners got in despite the rules. As such, I'd say a japanese name might be preferrable.

The way I imagine it is if you want to play with someone you'll PM them and from there you'll learn about character names and etc.

If yes, wouldn't it be kinda..silly to list yourself here? Maybe it's just me being paranoid but if Sega'd stumble upon this list and really wants to keep out westerners from the alpha, they could ban everyone? x_o

It would be a bit silly to try and talk to the japanese players or talk in public anyways... I doubt most of them know english and even if they responded back, we wouldn't be able to understand them (minus the few here who actually know japanese).

Though I'm not entirely sure how this list will help without actual character names, which is why I hesitated to even put my name on this list prior to actually making a character in the first place.

It seems a little paranoid to remove them. They're pretty regularly posting up PSO2 updates in English on Facebook, so... as long as you're careful and don't disrupt the community by typing in English all over the place, I don't think they'll particularly care enough to ban anyone. If anything, our healthy (lol) interest in the game would be even more indication of the amount of interest this game has garnered outside of Japan.

Lets just say hypothetically it is frowned upon and they did see the list and used the information on the list to ban everyone listed. I would be the one to blame and quite frankly my fragile heart couldn't take it.

True, but I'll be honest here, I'm way too lazy to look through the thread for individual names. Then again, putting some extra thought into it, hopefully most of the people playing at any given time will be in the IRC, so...

I agree. I know there is a thread for community chat but is there a way to use this threads information. I wish I would've realized that PMing people is a little bit archaic.

But it makes it simple because its our usernames that we all have in common. Aim, Skype, yahoo, gchat, irc, etc etc are things some may have and others may not.

Unfortunately I didn't. I looked through all the options checking and unchecking things...no dice.(of course that's because I can't read Japanese) I really hope we get a decent translation for options before next test.
