α2 client and dates

As notified on the official Twitter account (http://twitter.com/#!/sega_pso2/status/162078818943774720), the client should be available now at the players site. The dates for the alpha are:
1/27: 4pm to 11pm
1/28: 6pm to 2 am
2/1: 4pm to 11 pm
2/3: 3pm to 11pm of the 4th.

As for other time zones:

PST (Pacific):
1/26 @ 11:00 PM
1/28 @ 1:00 AM
1/31 @ 11:00 PM
2/2 @ 10:00 PM

EST:
1/27 @ 2:00 AM
1/28 @ 4:00 AM

The server hosting the Game Client must be be getting sizable traffic, I've been downloading it for 30min and only have 21% of it dl'd (as of 12:33 midnight); the game file is 1,177.63 MB! lol

Technically It can't. But it can run (barely but its playable) Serious Sam 3 which I believe has higher minimum requirements than PSO2.

If not i'll have to download it on my brother's computer... and he hates Phantasy Star ._. (and isn't too fond of me downloading and playing things on his computer all night long lol)

Got it downloaded! :D Log in Error (most likely servers not yet open) and now I just gotta wait for a translation on the settings menus so I know how to lower the settings :D (That and for the actual alpha to start)

Assuming you mean kilobytes (kb is kilobits), I dunno. I even tried temporarily opening all ports on my firewall but it made no difference. My connection is definitely not the issue. Oh well, not like there isn't plenty of time to get it downloaded.

You have to connect to the server first before you can do character creation. Otherwise, people would have been able to use the character creator with previous (leaked) alpha client.

Requirements are the same as the previous alpha, and apparently they will go down for the launch version.
