The official reason for you getting banned would likely not be "speaking English," which isn't against the TOS, but "not connecting from a Japanese IP," which is (or living in the country in the case of the alpha).

I wonder what begging for an English release on this survey will do. It's probably more effective than Facebook or Twitter.

Just a suggestion, but perhaps someone can post (and get the OP to put it into the first post), a short message in Japanese simply stating "Please release the game internationally with linked servers." and maybe a another message basically telling the dev team good job and keep it up? Something that can be just copied and pasted.

I was explaining that I wasn't aware of the nuance that the word "consumer game" in Japanese refers to console games as opposed to PC games.

As for your suggestion, I would be willing to put a message like that in the OP. I'm not the best at English>Japanese, but I guess I could give it a stab. I'm just gonna throw this out there and then hopefully the other Japanese-speakers on this site can give me some input on how to make it better. Even if you want to rewrite it completely that's fine by me. Just trying to brainstorm.

i think it sounds good enough, i'd add in the note about linked servers or something someone mentioned earlier. it confuses me as to why they don't just ff11 it up, didn't japanese and english players play on the same server, and japanese was auto corrected into english? referring to this in the message would be good too. i kinda feel like if you talk about how even this kind of form of playing is okay (linked servers, japanese players are auto translated into english and same vice versa), it shows the amount of desire you have to play the game.

global servers seem like a stretch and a lot of work- letting them know a good amount of us would even bear with playing on linked servers or just on the japanese servers with an english interface so we can play pso2 would show them how badly we want pso2.

Seems good enough I think. I was simply thinking that having something available that can be quickly cut and pasted would be a good idea for the Alpha testers that can't write in Japanese, and also having the same message pop up many times would certainly emphasize the point further to Sega and Sakai's team.

I second this idea. I think it's also safe to mention that international gameplay with people around the world has been at least part of the spirit of PSO, or at least, it says in this Phantasy Star Online commercial...

I filled it out honestly(though I wish in the "what do you want most changed in PSO2" section it had more than 1 option, maybe a priority of 3?) I selected another axis of character growth. Wanted to show all the support for mags that I can. And, I also wanted to select more character design options(hair, and more). The cast creation in PSO2 in comparison to Human and Newman needs improved in my opinion. I'd like to see some PSO-style cast-like faces and body types, instead of what looks solely like Infinity-style, heh. I like it, but that PSO feel of Casts isn't hitting me.

I also went ahead and added the small bit about wanting the global servers from the thread. It was a great idea to post that. I know some Japanese, but I fear my skills to say something like that succinctly and well aren't there yet!

Yea someone already offered feedback for key locations in randomly generated maps, such as the waterfall in PSO Caves. I sure hope we will see more interesting environments like Central Control Area. IMO the city stuff we saw in some trailers didn't look that hot. I wonder how many stages they planned and if we will have to wait for an expansion to get the best ones (sure hope not). I mean we've only seen forest and caves, got a glimpse of some ruins/city.
