As the news post suggested there has been trouble in the UK with getting hold of the Broadband adaptor for PSO. In FACT there has been more than trouble, They just aren't there. I brought the game about a two/three weeks ago when it game out took it home like a giddy school girl and played it straight offline until I was lvl 26. Ranger. I was happy playing offline for the moment for I was told that the Broadband adaptor would be in stock for the next friday. Guess what the stock was one and the guy who owns the store took it and didn't put it on sale. I looked everywhere for the adaptor in my home town. Then in the center of London, Westminister etc. I must have walked like 50 miles trying to track down one single broadband adaptor. So I simply went home grabbed PSO and traded in for the xbox live starter kit. I loved PSO, my m8 loved PSO, my brother loved PSO and we played offline for hours but Frankly something was missing, the online element is what holds it together and seeing as nintendo and sega feel like treating UK gamers like scum for some reason I cldn't use the game for what it was made for. Xbox on the other hand was a few buttons pressed and I was playing online.

I'm pretty much disgusted by Nintendo treatment of the situation and I'm sorry if this is a rant but I have wanted to play PSO online for ages and this was a huge disappointment for me. I would have sold my GC by now if it wasn't for Metroid Prime and Zelda releases coming up over the next month and I intend to boycott the machine as soon as I have finished.

You could have just ordered a modem or bba from amazon or gameplay.co.uk and would have gotten it the very next day

Er, yeah. I read that the Japanese BBA's work on US concoles too, so maybe A US or Japanese modem would work on a UK console too... I dunno though. That really stinks though. :0(

In his defense, PSO is supposed to be a game for all, enjoyable and accessible to many.
Not reserved for the computer/internet savvy who knows where to get the stuff that should be available in stores.

Don't feel too bad, my friend. The UK wasn't the only country Nintendo didn't make enough adapters for...

I couldn't find one in the US for about two months. The only reason I have one now is because a friend of mine from across the country had a BBA but couldn't use it in his studio and I had a 56K one (a gift) that wouldn't work with my broadband service. We swapped, and things worked out great.

I wish you luck in finding the adapter you need.
