No sound in CC demo?

I downloaded the PSO2 character creator demo, and it's awesome, all except for one thing: there's no sound. How do I fix this? D:

I would have to say, you either touched a sound setting. Or you might need to reinstall it.

Speaking of installation (I think this may tie into my sound problem): near the end of installation, there was also an installation for Direct X. That installation failed while the one for the demo went just fine.

Also, before playing it, I got an error that a .dll file was missing, preventing me from playing it. I got that taken care of, and the demo plays, but without sound. 3:
