My friend EclipsXe (the one that got banned) went into the document and found this

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy
of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal
in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights
to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell
copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is
furnished to do so.

Also it was already in English.

So the whole English patch is good and not breaking any rights correct?

I'm pretty sure that's just a license that came with the lua scripting that PSO2's supposed to support. Hence the filename "lua_license.txt" and such.

Something tells me we're reading this wrong considering it says ". . . sell copies of the Software. . ." in that group of stuff.

Why would Sega allow you to sell their FREE character creator? :l Doesn't make sense to me.

EDIT: Just checked, and Macman is write. The text is from the Lua License(open source programming language).

http://www.lua.org/license.html

The license file is in C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\PHANTASYSTARONLINE2_CHARACTERCREATOR\ps o2charactercreator_bin\data\license

It is NOT for the character creator client. It said in the EULA that it's illegal to modify the client in any way, I'm sure. I'm willing to bet money on it.

Already replied to it in my edited post. It isn't for the character creator client.

Like they said. It's for Lua. Col provided a link to their website/license. It's open-source, hence why it says you can basically do what you want with it. However, that only applies to Lua, not the character creator demo. They just included the Lua license because they're using Lua.

I just explained it... Macman actually did too.

SEGA used the Lua programming language for something in the character creator. The license is regarding the programming language itself, not the character creator client.

EDIT: Ninja'd.
