Is it possible to launch the Beta client yet?

I downloaded the Beta client after being accepted into the Closed Beta and the installation process went along just fine. However, when I open PSO2, after the splash screen disappears, I click the biggest blue button toward the top right corner of the window and this error comes up:

I'm not sure if this is due to the fact that the beta has not started yet, or if something is simply wrong with my client. Can someone translate this/help me figure out what's happening?

Disconnect from the Internet and it will launch the client. Isn't much to see though, you can just see the title screen and press Enter.

It really only means you can't play yet.

That message basically says you can't connect because the servers aren't online.

If you go to your firewall and prevent outbound connection to pso2launcher.exe you can still launch the game and it will load PSO2.exe itself with an Internet connection but if you attempt to login, it won't let you for the obvious reason that the servers for it are not accepting connections yet.
