Well yeah, I've been browsing around and I see that there really isn't any official thread where people post their official character's looks AND name, so I decided to start one! :3

If you're worried about being known to the population, why not put your character and information in your signature? I know I won't have the patience to look through a thread every time I wanted to identify someone, but if you keep a picture of your character in your signature, I'd identify the poster and the character each time they posted.

By the way, Chik, I love the contrast between light blue and red eyes your character has. It's very striking.

Well, nice thing about this, is that they work cumulatively. Have a picture of your character in this thread, and another in your sig, so that people see your characters face when you post, and can look up the rest of you. Perhaps, having a link in your sig to this post would be the best of both worlds? Hm, I should try that...

Overview: Levia is the favorite creation of Zorael. Her most noticeable features are her amphibious features, and her shy and polite personality. She was designed to maximize all of Zorael's favorite attributes, and so has exceptional physical and mental characteristics.

Physical Characteristics: Levia is 5'10" with a thin build. Her skin is a decorative arrangement of blue and white, with black sometimes thrown in. Her exact skin pattern changes with her age and Zorael's preferences at the time. She has functional ornamental fins on her arms, hips, and legs, which are used for steering, stability, and propulsion when swimming, respectively. She has hair made of thin tendrils reaching down to her hips, made straight by their weight. Due to its impracticability, Zorael made modifications to the hair to limit its liabilities. It never gets in Levia's way. While being sent to different civilizations, she is often disguised to fit in better. Her exact disguise changes depending on the area, but often transformation magic is used to give her pale skin, blue eyes, and grey hair.

Personality: Levia is polite, humble, and submissive. She always acts insecure, and will try to fulfill any needs of anyone she's in contact with, so long as it doesn't interfere with her current job, or doesn't otherwise create a negative effect. Despite her apparent insecurity, she is fully confident in herself and her abilities. Her personality was created from decades of interacting with humans, and figuring out how to best interact with them. While her ego looks fragile, she is actually completely emotionless. Instead of working towards happiness and avoiding pain like humans, her entire motivation is pleasing Zorael, and fulfilling a logic based morality learned from him. Using this morality as a basis, she has performed some seemingly cruel acts in order to achieve some great goal. Despite her emotionlessness, she enjoys testing her strength. Though she never lets it get in the way of her job, she will gladly jump into difficult situations to see how well she performs.

Abilities: The main goal while making Levia was to completely perfect a life form, paying no mind to the materials required, time needed, or effort spent. The materials in her body are meant to last and produce incredible results. While maintenance is often needed to keep her healthy, Levia sports incredible strength, durability, flexibility, coordination, grace, reaction time, senses, intelligence, creativity, and morality. As well as having an incredible body, she was trained directly from Zorael in all of his favorite subjects. She was trained in speech, graceful and efficient movement, combat, physics, and philosophy, among other things.
In combat, she moves incredibly swiftly, and with great strength. She uses twin curved swords made by Zorael out of water. Her mind is swift enough to make complex plans in seconds, and to coordinate her body to perform complex maneuvers easily.

Overview: Zorael is a former angel who left heaven to see the universe. His major abilities are possession, light magic, and hydromancy.

Physical Characteristics: None. Zorael is purely a soul. However, he must possess a body in order to interact with the world around him. He generally prefers making his own body to possessing other people. His preferred body is a male in his thirties with a strong athletic body, and long flowing hair.

Personality: Zorael is calm and kind, but burns with curiosity. He will seek out new information wherever he can get it. His angelic roots still drive him though, and so he will always try to help anyone that needs it.

Abilities: Zorael mainly uses water manipulation. His experience makes this a very versatile ability. When forced, he will use a much more powerful light magic. His age and experience gives him great intelligence and wisdom, as well.

FRESH MEAT!

It's great to have new players introduced to the game, even before it starts. Everyone I played with in PSU only played because they played PSO beforehand. Having someone that plays because their friends play?
So awesome!

i never played the 1st PSO, i was introduced to Phantasy star on the 360 via the BETA demo which ran until 2010, i was off and on the full version (couldn't always make that monthly payment) and got many Xbox friends to play with me on both the demo (R.I.P.) and the full game+^_^+ i was about to renew my membership actually when last Thursday i lurked here to see what the economy is after a year and got in the CBT+^_^+ took loads of pics and taunted Xbox friends+^_^+ we are all waiting now for this game to launch open beta+^_^+ (got to 180 and had the only fem cast acro techer (i think) with a pure GRM pallet (those De Ragun 1 hand pistols are like non-existant, felt like Reaver from Fable!), Armor, and accessories, i was good damn acro too going out of my way to make sure people get healed even at my own peril or lost EXP and drops+^_^+)

Thanks man, tis my first time rolling a cast in the PSO series. Glad to see its a success.

Though I was going for a more grumpy look than souless to give off a colder and cruder character like PSU's Magashi. Kinda like what Demon's got going on with his face of resentment. But heck maybe I'll keep this look as it might capture the spirit of the casts. In any case I hope to get around posting in the fashion thread sometime soon.

What I'm more surprised about is how seemingly underused my hairstyle is. I mean I have yet to run into a player or npc that uses it.

Haha, yeah I guess. Did find my character more so "unique" looking before I saw Demon.

Personally went with a less menacing look though, went for something roughly like this (http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Rygdea). Guess that's where the difference lies.

It's a middle aged, angry, strong human with healthy, poorly kept hair. Perhaps not many players make a character of this type as say, a roughly teenaged wide eyed female, but it's still a common overall look.
What's unique is how well he made the character. While other people might add some femininity or youth to their males, Demon went for pure strength and fury. What he ends up with, ironically, gives him more beauty and vitality than what other people get. And that's what makes him stand out, compared to the other wide eyed, fair skinned, well kept men.

I really enjoyed creating the character in pso2 for the first time(cbt). It came out exactly how I wanted it, no complaints whatsoever; from then just a couple color adjustments. Oh also was using different coloured outfits but same model.

I made Wren too but didn't look close or cool enough to me.

I appreciate that! It has been fun looking at the balloonz during games, with neifirst squinting her eyes, looking like a badass villain and saying weird stuff rofl.
Since she can't have greenish weird skin and eyes, I was going for some fang-like scars to make her stand out from what a Nei character would look like in my mind (in a newgen game), then went for the tattoo which felt intriguing given how she has a little one in same spot in her char design sketches for ps2.
I was impressed myself at how quick and efficient the char.creator was at conveying what I had in mind in the character's face through modeling a default model. I'll enjoy making some other megadrive ps character with it in the meanwhile.

Hmm... Cannot remember being angry at any point... D: And no, I'm actually not referencing that anime with the name, seeing as I haven't ever watched it... It's really just a combination of the Japanese onomatopoeia of a cat meowing and the typical "ko"-ending for female names.

Ok so maybe theres not that much of a difference but heck I'm noticing it :-?. Though now I'm debating on keeping the eye patch or not. He kinda looks awesome both ways, but the eyepatch-less pic makes his scrowl more apparent and the eyepatch kinda gives off the feel of a military commander (or maybe that's just me)

Opinions? Suggestions?

Fable, sir, I think you should opt to go without. It definitely makes him look more ominous to me, if that's your intent.

My original design, I wanted to include the eyepatch, too. I'm blind in one eye, so it felt fitting, but then I thought it didn't match the character, and ultimately wouldn't look as cool.

And no worries, you don't have to tell me KOS-MOS' serial number! c: MEGA Xenosaga fan here. (I can see you're also as obsessed as I am!) I think you should go with Mary KP-X, since it's very original, but recognizable enough that any true Xenosaga fan would catch the reference immediately! Your current KOS-MOS reminds me of her Ep.II version - a more mature, demure KOS-MOS! She is very beautiful. I personally love her chin! Maybe if you want to give her a sweeter look, you can increase her iris size? I think all we need now is someone to come join us as T-ELOS, and we'll have all the forms of Mary, kicking ass together on PSO. c:

I'm currently replaying through all the Xenosagas again+^_^+ PCSX2 breathed new life into them when i figured out how to hack true 16:9 widescreen and true 1080p internal resolution (it'll chew any computer without a quad core at 4GHz)+^_^+ with FXAA on they looks better then most of my 360 games+^_^+ i haven't been taking pics but if you want a sample video let me know and I'll load one up on YouTube+^_^+

ok, ima do a recording from Xenosaga 1, the scene when Shion encounters Nephilim inside KOS-MOS' subconscious+^_^+ i have several dozen saves on my PS2 card for all the games (to quickly watch cut-scenes without fighting or playing too much) but I'm too lazy to port them to PC+^_^+
EDIT; here you go!! only did 2 minutes because it took up somewhere around 80 GB uncompressed+^_^+, something happened when i trans-coded the audio on there too and made it ever so slightly blurry, but it looks much nicer playing it+^_^+

What I've done is I've chosen a hairstyle that covers her real ears most of the time, and added the 'cat ears'. This mimics the beast look well, and I darkened her skin up a bit, as I had in PSU, to complete the idea. In this image, her eyes are golden, but I will probably change them back to a pinkish color like they were in PSU.
