this may seem like a noob question but after playing the beta I still have no idea what gacha is or what it is used for... same with FUN. PS: haven't played pso since BB.

gacha, or gachapon, is basically just a grab bag kind of thing

Was it just me or was I doing something wrong where I was only getting grinders through the gacha machines? If thats the way you have to get them then I don't like that and hope they change that.

I found plenty of grinders in the field, probably 60 over the course of CBT. That's if my japanese is worth its salt.

Nah, you can get grinders are normal drops

Rappies and sometimes boxes drop grinders. Maybe even normal monsters occasionally do, too.

If you hit the rare Rappies for their bonus drop it is almost always a grinder.
