View Full Version : AC Exchange Rate and other Q&A's

Since I didint see a post regarding this specifically, I was wondering if there is any information regarding the AC Exchange Rate.

First off, I'm asuming that they are only accepting Yen, if so, then how much Yen would 30 AC cost? If I'm not mistaken, you need 30 AC to get your room for a month, so I think this is a ideal reference for its cost.

Also, if they only accept Yen, then how would people from outside of Japan buy AC? I've never done something like this in my life (paying in another currency), but I'm sure there are ways around it. Or can you just do it directly with your good ol' USD in your bank account?

On a side note, I think you could buy AC on CB, but I never tried it, nor bothered myself because I was having so much fun, so I didint think much about it. ^^; So did anyone over here actually went in the "Buy AC" option and saw the rates? Or was it disabled?

Now, let's discuss!

Let the speculation begin!

And before the speculation even begins, may I remind people that the AC prices for stuff in the Closed Beta was temporary.

^and fairly low so we can spend like crazy so SEGA can test it.

From what I heard, they might do 1:1 Yen to AC.. but I doubt that will be the case, 12.95USD for 1k seems.. silly.

True, never contemplated that, things are most likely to go up or down depending on various factors, heck, they might even be "AC Sales" or something alike for all that we know when it comes out.

I read that too, but I HIGHLY doubt this, I mean, 1 USD = 80.23 yen (provided by Google), that's just... too good to be true.

Now granted, the CBT prices were that low for testing, My guess is that a "Premium" Will be around 800-900 AC if its at that price.

Actually, not really, it'll probabely be easiest to keep it at 1 AC = 1 Yen.

But change the price on the other items.

So AC Scratch ticket, 200~300 AC per coupon.
Room 30 day - 1500 AC
Scape Doll - 50 AC

True, but I doubt that the room would be so costy.. :-o I mean, 1500 AC/Yen is about 18 bucks, I mean, might as well get a WoW account or play that Star Wars MMO.

I highly doubt they'd charge that much just for a room.

And remember Syphio, that PSO2 is free. You can always play without the room if it does end up costing that much.

Any price given by players now would all be estimate, until official announced or shown ingame.

But as the "premium" isn't necessary to play or complete the game, I don't think 1500~2000 yen is overpriced, as Tera's monthly fee is 2700 yen.
And other web-game, such as Puchi Rock shooter, and other, Garapon/Scratch, are 100 yen~ 300 yen per spin/scratch.
It only grants My Room and the ability to trade by clicking and opening a shop, you are still able to buy items from player shop, and no game plot or stage is locked.

Well, even though it's F2P, if you're gonna really get into the game (like me), you'll likely want to get the "set shop" option and be able to hold multiple mags (in F2P, you can only hold 1 at a time), and maybe some other cool-useful stuff, woudnt you agree?

They are still investigating how they should have the pricing scheme for Arks Cash. They are thinking about charging something like 1AC = 1 Yen? Of course the prices in the CBT aren’t going to be the same as the official game.

1 AC = 1 yen sounds about right.

Which makes sense, since at one point, 1 yen = 1 US cent, so basically 100 AC would be "1 dollar".

Which is the translation rate that a lot of online credit-type exchanges use; Nintendo points, Xbox Live points (close to it, anyway), Nexon NX, etc.

I bet you they'll pull a nintendo Wii and you can only buy 1000, 2000, or 5000 AC at a time.

I BET YOU ALL MY AC AND MESETA!!!

Dont forget the "buy 2000, +200 free!" and "buy 5000, +750 free!" kind of thing.

there's no way in hell 100 AC would be 1 dollar.

Well at the going rate about 1.24, but that's what it's looking like so far.

Considering most companies also do this, this also wouldn't surprise me.

there's no way in hell 100 AC would be 1 dollar. They'd charge way more.

Exchange rate aside, considering the fact that the prices we had in CBT weren't finalized at all, yes, it could very well be 100 AC for 100 yen, or 100 AC for a dollar if/when PSO2 comes stateside.
