RUMOR: Sega employee on /v/ leaks info.

Not sure if this has been mentioned here yet or not but a man on the /v/ boards of 4chan who considers himself one of the higher ups at Sega recently spilled a bunch of information regarding Sega games after doing a little Q and A on the boards.

He talks about a 3rd Jet Set game in consideration if the Dreamcast re-release sells well on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. He also mentions Shenmue and new Sonic DLC.

But my favorite part was when he was asked "Q: phantasy star 2 in the US??????"
and his answers was "A: Yeah PSO2′s coming stateside."

Some of it seems pretty legitimate to me. You'd be surprised to see how many people leak this sort of confidential information on sites like 4chan. Remember, it's completely anonymous. Maybe he was just really bored and felt like being rebellious.

Jet Set Radio rerelease has been a thing for a while. Sega just finished up a contest where you can get your graffiti in the game. Showed up with Skies and Shenmue in a rumor ages ago, with their rumor getting stronger because Jet Set turned out to be true.

As for all the other junk, take it with a bag of salt. Still, sometimes these things pan out.

MOST of this "news" are just things anyone that's been paying close attention to SEGA could put together that's been unconfirmed. Especially the dreamcast ports, Generation's DLC, PSO2, game's that won't be coming, and the changes to Sonic, one of the creators already said they wanted to make something similar to colors but do something "new" altogether while still keeping Sonic's modern appearance.

So basically by telling realistic fiction based off of things that have already been told to us or speculated from the obvious, this guy could get away with trolling by using the name "Segafag."

As for PSO2 coming to the US or not is not the issue; it's the service they provide. Sure they can translate it, but if they continue with the shitty business as usual service they've done for previous games, then how is that an advantage over patching the JP client?

Well, if someone can consider making a web page as coding a bit... It is not unusual for someone higher up to think him/herself is "very capable".

I personally do feel iffy when I read that, but I have heard sega is quite a weird place.

I pretty much go on /v/ every day. Didn't see this thread, but fucking hell, there's no point in believing it.

You do get some information every now and then, I still remember one guy who claimed to be an Activision employee last year saying "You won't be disappointed next year" in response to some one saying they'd like to see a COD that's set in the future.

But it's the run up to E3 and the trolls come out in droves. I still remember the shitstorm after a guy who claimed to be an employee of the ESRB's provision rating section posted the games that were supposedly in the Wii U's upcoming software trailer. Phantasy Star Online 2 was one of them =P
