That's the canceled PSO HUnewm? Why would they cancel this? Imagine what this would have done for the newman society! They would have become accepted as hunters!

I'm kind of disappointed that the only difference between human and newman this time around is the ears. I wish they had more splicing options on them, so they can show off their genetic manipulation. At least give them the cat eyes!

Well I believe in the character creator you can give them cat eyes if I remember correctly, but I think you can do the same for humans so I suppose it isn't really a defining feature. Perhaps canine modification?

Maybe the overall attitude came from Motavians, but I doubt they were inspired to make Beasts looking at a race of bird-creatures covered in long, shaggy blue hair/fur.

I mean, you can clearly see a hefty resemblance between the PSO HUnewm and the Beasts (especially from PSP2 and Infinity).
