So it's been a long time and I'm sure a lot of life has happened for us all. A couple days ago by chance I randomly came across the news that PSO2 exists and is starting pre-open beta. All sorts of gushy feelings started to flood into my brain and I had to check it out. I returned to PSO-World and took a trip down forum-post memory lane and came away thinking "Wow, I was a bit of a jackass back in the day" lol. Anyway, I'm not sure if many are around that would remember me but just wanted to pop by and say hello to everyone old and new. I am getting enthusiastic about the new game. :)

Though I'm sure Sega appreciate that some people are doing it now instead of waiting with it to later. They did mess with the movement stuff, it's not working the same way as it did earlier during the Closed Beta test. So they probably at least attempted to patch it.

My IGN was アニャ (Anya), but everyone thought I was a Japanese player (fair enough) and didn't talk to me lol so I had to solo, including that dreaded desert mission. I don't know much Japanese but since it'll be a while before the NA ver. is out and I probably wont even both with the eng patch hacks that'll soon be out, I'll just learn Japanese. Never hurts to learn something new after all. Now that I think about it, I probably should've taken more screenshots and recorded more gameplay footage, but all I'll be doing is teasing myself with a game I can't play yet.

Anyway, some of you've probably have seen me wondering about either in the Lobby or in the second section of the desert mission. Also for the first pic, sorry for taking a picture without letting you know. I'm not sure why I didn't ask, so I just blurred out the names.

Bit of a strange request:

When I popped on Saturday, I almost immediately joined a Desert Mission run, and one of the players was recording for his account on Twitch.tv.

Problem is - I didn't write down the address to view later...

My character was a Male Cast Ranger, using the "FoCast" armor set - named "Firepower".

All I can recall of the player that was recording was "Justin 21XX" where the XX are additional numbers.

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure on the player's name at all, but that's what occurs to me.

Anyone have vids of me going about on-mission - I'd like to see that Twitch account's video.
(And how the hell do you search Twitch for just PSO2 stuff? keep getting PSO1 stuff...)

No offense, but I hate how so many people say this about PSO2. I have never played a single Phantasy Star game with just one character. Class has nothing to do with why I've always had at least 4 characters. As a matter of fact, I usually have 3 hunters (HUmar, HUney & HUcast).
I easily get bored with using the same avatar over and over & all of my created characters have some sort of a back story or some kind of personal attachment for me. I will spend the extra money to have some variety when this gets an official English patch or NA release.

To each there own. And for the record, I like that you can easily change your class in this game.

I completely agree with you here, though I tend to focus most of what you just said squarely on one character, I like having multiple characters but one of them is my signature character that I'm known for. Plus I'm no grinder so it takes me a good part of a year to top out on my character to the fullest.

necessary, this is pretty much the reason for having more alts than are actually necessary, certainly for me as well anyway. There's no fun in writing a backstory with only one character, and it's far more fun to have partner characters that you've carefully customised with matching equipment along for the ride instead of the standard story characters.

It wasn't just Sun Sol's post, it has come up quite frequently in other topics too. And there is nothing wrong with what they say, I just never made my character(s) based on class. I enjoy having a stable of fighters with their own unique looks and backgrounds like I mentioned. It's just funny that so many people are like, "phew, no need to make extra characters now that you can change your class for free!".

It is no dig at Sun Sol either. The way you play PSO is up to you & it's the variety of styles that everyone plays that makes it more fun than other games I play. That fact that you have to now pay for extra player slots will force most people to juggle around different classes with just one character. Just doesn't sound as fun to me. :-?
