I'm no pro-translator, but I'm fluent enough to do a (mostly) comprehensible English translation while retaining the original meaning. Item names with obviously English words are in English, the rest have interpreted English pronunciation and romanization in parentheses for reference. There are also a few comments/notes in parens as well.

In regards to the recurring "Wait for Tomorrow" under Matter Information, The phrasing (in Japanese) is similar to that of the title of the obligatory chapter 0 (the only chapter I had time to play in P-OBT), so I'm guessing that it's title of the story chapter.

I have translated 技量 as ABL (short for ability/skill) to indicate that it is a stat where applicable. This is following the stat naming convention followed here (http://strongtomorrow.tk/wiki/Pronunciation_Guide_-_Phantasy_Star_Online_2).

I'm not sure why the weapon info pages have race and gender requirements (read restrictions). It may simply be the result of the use of a item restriction class in the code shared between all equipable items, or it may be indicative that there may be gender/race locked weapons/units in the future. Who knows.

Up until now, I thought that Arks referred to the people (humans, newmans, cast), but after reading through the the weapon entries, all of the basic-level 1 star weapons have:

I wonder what that ABL stat means. Is it a stat like reputation, gear score, or something? I remember finding the rare 7 star Braolet Gunslash and not being able to use it at lvl 10, but as soon as I hit lvl 11 I could use it.

Edit: Upon conferring with a native speaker (I'm half and fluent but not native) the common use of the word is just as "amount of ____ ability", referring to whatever the skill-set in the context in question is -- it's inherently a generic word, like it's English counterparts -- but PSO2 hasn't provided the context to which it refers... so we're left guessing.

To be honest, I remembered reading this thread (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=194269&highlight=mag) a while back before Arika started campaigning for it to be called "skill", and just used the naming conventions here (http://strongtomorrow.tk/wiki/Pronunciation_Guide_-_Phantasy_Star_Online_2).

Skill or ability, both terms are very generic and not descriptive at all, but a descriptive term would be too long and confusing, so I have no preference as of now, as there is no factual evidence or word from Sega (that I've read) regarding exactly what it does -- it's not exactly obvious as say... HP

量 is well... amount. Quantity of stuff...

A direct translation from character meanings including implied meanings would be "technical skill amount". But there's not solid proof as to what the skill does yet, so naming it "PA skill" would be premature...

To be honest, I remembered reading this thread (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=194269&highlight=mag) a while back before Arika started campaigning for it to be called "skill", and just used the naming conventions here (http://strongtomorrow.tk/wiki/Pronunciation_Guide_-_Phantasy_Star_Online_2).

Skill or ability, both terms are very generic and not descriptive at all, but a descriptive term would be too long and confusing, so I have no preference as of now, as there is no factual evidence or word from Sega (that I've read) regarding exactly what it does -- it's not exactly obvious as say... HP

The origin and most common meaning of 技 is technique, or technical skill such as a martial arts move -- a motion or action that requires finesse and mastery. This is reflected in the many other words the character appears in such as 技術屋 - engineer, 技芸 - handicrafts, 技能 - technical skill, etc.

量 is well... amount. Quantity of stuff...

So basically, a direct translation from character meanings including implied meanings would be "technical skill amount". "amount" => "level", which you can remove as that's implicit for a stat and you get "technical skill" or "technique skill". Then maybe shorten it to "PA skill"? But there's not solid proof as to what the skill does yet, so naming it "PA skill" would be premature...

As for what it does, there's seen/read a lot of conjecture about player damage done, damage received, critical rates etc, but no explicit recorded analysis, so...

here's a translation of the description provided on the PSO2 player's site (http://pso2.jp/players/manual/preparations/info/character/) instead:

Oh wow thanks. That last bit really explained it. Its a numerical value of multiple things like attack, level, gear, ect. There was a good term that one game I used to play used for this kind of description. For now I can only think of "Character Score" / "Player Score".

In regards to the unit names: there are a number of units have/start プ/ブ circle/2-dot characters. The problem is that the images RocSage has uploaded don't have enough detail to discern with certainty which letter it is, since the location and sizing of the modifier are similar.

From what I can tell, the best way to obtain that detail would be to look at the items myself in-game, or to get a screenshot with the GUI text size cranked up under the launcher-options and save images as BMP files instead of jpg for lossless detail (png might also work).

So, until better images are obtained, I've have picked what feels more natural as a Japanese item name for items with said letter ambiguity.

how do i get the second matter board? i finished the first one and ran around seeing if it would give it to me in a cut scene like the first, to no avail.
