What exactly does the luck attribute do for my charater. Is it to find rare items or is it for lucky, more powerful hit during combat?

It affects teh amount of time you get a critical hit in with your attacks, it affects nothing else.

Luck contributes towards getting a greater chance of landing a critical hit. Many mistook it for finding items but if it were like that I would find more rares often.
