Launcher stuck in update?

Whatever it's updating doens't seem to be working, anyone know of any fix or info as to why the progress bar is not moving?

Try waiting for about 20 minutes.
When i was updating myself, i also thought it was stuck for a good while, and then it slowly catched up to speed and in about 1 hour and a half i had patched the game.

If not ,you can always try the manual updates, you can find downloads in this very forum,

Give it time. It's a lengthy process, and chances are you'll encounter hiccups along the way (forcing you to restart).

Alternatively, you can download the update(s) from an external site.

the update takes forever i had the same problem, it toke about an hour and a half of waiting

Ok, I'm having a weird problem.

I have an updated client (the same setup on 2 different pc's) but one is stuck in the update screen while the other goes all the way to ship select.

I used the same install method for both systems yet the one system gets this update screen. Both are installed with the data from the "alternate download" thread. So they really should be identical.

Maybe I'll just have to wait a while but I still find it very curious...

Edit: It's working now, seemed to be a small patch it downloaded (maybe 15 minutes). I still find it odd, because for the POB I could not patch due to the 434 error...

Is this patch on google docs good post-June 21st? I'm trying to play on a friend's computer and the patch is just impossible.

There are still the small patches missing. 3 iirc, 7, 10 and 15 MB. But other than that it should be ok.
