Need some help with 360 Controller

So I want to use my 360 controller, but I have a wireless controller with the play and charge usb cable. When I plug it in, my computer reads it and says its ready for use. But i cant seem to figure it out in game.
I read a few threads and got to the controller remapping screen but my controller doesnt seem to work.

I also tried to download the DS3 tool but it doesnt sense my controller.

My controller is blinking, idk if its suppose to do that.

Is the problem my play and charge cable, and I have to get a actual wired controller?

You need the Pc xbox360 wireless receiver, it's blinking because it's not connected to anything. You will need a real wired controller or pickup a xbox360 wireless receiver to use the plug and play cable.

Walmart might not have it. I had to amazon mine for 6 bucks.
