So I keep finding these yellow-orange item drops that are boxes that sell for 10 meseta. What are they and how are they used?

Those are quest items. Don't sell them. You need certain numbers of them to complete client orders.

Figured that out in a generic "I'm an idiot" moment. Fortunately, I'd been putting them in storage, so easy fix.
