Can only play on one ship?

So I made a character on ship 3 last night, and it was getting full so I wanted to change ship. But when I went to ship 4, I had no saved Character, only the option to make a new one. I went back to ship 3 and my character was there.

Can I only play on the ship I made my character on? or is something wrong?

Characters are bound to the ship they're created on.

You can only make 1 character for free. You have to delete your character on ship 3 to make a new one on ship 4 but right now ship 1-5 are closed so you cannot create a new character.

Select your character, choose the 2nd option, hold crtl and click on "Yes".
