Only 1 Character Per Ship/Account?

Won't let me create new characters, saying I have to buy (with real money I believe) more slots or something? So if that's the case, how do I delete my char so I can make a new one?

When you select your character, pick the second option, then hold CTRL and click the button on the left. And correct, you may only have 1 free character.

When you select the character, 2nd option is delete, but you must hold ctrl to click the delete option.

Its to prevent you from accidentally clicking the wrong button and deleting you progress forever.
