I pick the ship and log in but i get this popping up, any ideas what it is?

The Player ID is separate from your SEGA ID and your actual character names. Please be careful not to put your password as your Player ID name.''

It asks you to enter your own unique player account name (or something like that). It's what's used to identify all of your characters as belonging to you in the game. It won't have any other practical meaning, but it must be entirely unique from the account names of everyone else.

Edit: And a word of warning, seeing as someone else mistook it for this: don't put your password in there. ^^;
