Anyone with a higher end Radeon have slowdown after playing for a while?

So yea, The game plays perfectly smoothly the first few minutes on my 7970 but then it suddenly drops to a low framerate and stays there.

Any ideas?

Mines an older 5730 Mobility HD and I have absolutely no issues. Check for driver updates?

Sorry for double post.. Download "GPU-Z" and check what temps your card is running at, sounds like an overheating issue. Clean out your fans and vents as well.

Try increasing your fan speeds, it might be that it's getting hot and slows down to protect your card.

I'm on a Radeon 6995 HD and got no problems at all.

Radeon 7990 HD....No probs whatsoever. Thinking about putting in my unopened Nvidia Geforce 680 now however b/c i would like to see if Nvidia cards really make a difference. Using 2x Geforce 560s in my sim racing PC build so maybe i could just try the game out on that rig, but its in the other room...ugh

I'm using a Radeon HD 6570 and no problems at all. Like stated previous, it sounds more like it might be overheating. Is your tower (assuming it's a desktop) a small case? Those capture heat very easily if they aren't vented and cooled properly. :/
