Inviting/Accepting people into a team?

thats differed from my question but i'll answer it for you, on the ship go to the panel that has the yellow floating above it thats the npc invite terminal, you can only invite friends/team members that have their friend partner card activated.

You are looking at text over head. When selecting the option to change it a list should come up with a bunch of different options (no harm is done if you just click each one in the list). Each selection will deselect prior selections. Just find the one you want and keep it.

Thanks very much but will changing the overhead display stuff change the chatbox / friend list displayed stuff?

like in team chat my friend will be named ogga ogga but instead it will show monkeymagic (yes those names are randomly made)

Nope it doesn't seem to change it in chat. Does the name change happen for all people in team chat or just a few people in team chat?

It happened to my friend to, we want our character names to display not the id X) any clue how to fix this?

I would like more information from anyone else who may have knowledge before declaring this the issue but it may be a problem dealing with this. If it isn't this problem I am sorry but I do not know where it would be changeable at. I looked at many English translations of the nav menus as well as tried out many different settings, all with no luck.

This states that what was entered here is used to represent your account but differs from SEGA ID and Character name. It also states it is unchangable. Is it possible that this is what name is shown in chat?

If anyone has knowledge on this please feel free to chime in.

Yeah that is what is being displayed but it's annoying when you have to memorize oh this person is shown as this instead of their name -.- so any help on finding how to change what is displayed as the name in chat/in menus would be great.
