Alternative 2.6 GB Patch Download?

I can't find the threads right now with people linking the download from a source other than the client but my friend has tried over 15 times and cannot download the patch without getting disconnected.

Does anyone have a link from a US Source that he can download this patch from?

Could you also tell me how he would go about applying the patch? (like what folder to put it in)

It's over 4 GB so I'm assuming its the whole game or something? My grandma is probably more computer savy than my friend is lol but hopefully he'll figure it out.

that's for unofficial patch. He's having trouble downloading the game's patch to run the game because it takes like 3 hours to download for him and he keeps getting disconnected, so I'm trying to find a better source for him.
