Does this game let you freely swtich class?

Like how PSPortable2 let you switch between Hunter/Ranger/Force/etc at the Type Counter.

I made a Ranger but I want to try out Force but then I find out apparently you can have only 1 char and I don't want to delete my first char. I'm hoping I can try out Force while avoiding having to go through the process of making a SEGAID again. -_-

It is the same counter where you assign skill points to your class' skill tree. The first option is to change your class.
