What's It Take To Get A Rare?

So I see Rare (or Uncommons?) weapons, such as the yellow trident spear or giant pink sword on missions, and I keep spam running them and don't get anything. I usually run missions solo but is there a higher drop rate in group or...?

The skill Lucky Rise helps or just be lucky xD i have found 3 rare gunblades.... ugh

Me and my friends dance around the red crystals in ritualistic fashion to increase rare drop chance. It doesn't work.

Well, they are called 'rares' for a reason, and I hope they keep it that way in the sense of how it was in the PSO of old ^^;. I personally don't like how new games hand you things quickly to make you feel accomplished.

The 9 stars are pretty good.

But the rest of them are pretty much garbage, so yeah.
