And they are gonna release it in NA and Japan Simultaneously with PSO2 free with a purchase of the console.. in a sense making a international social sensation and a slam hit console comeback. :-o

There is no doubt at the amount of win this would give off, however, SEGA was apparently making a Dreamcast2 a while ago. After a while this rumor just died out. It is possible that it could happen but I don't see it happening because they stated a while ago that they moved to a game developer.

Its a shame because my first console was the master system. I grew up with SEGA games and consoles. Loved them.

I don't believe SEGA got the economy to release a console these days... Would love if they do, but I guess it won't happen ^^;

Don't mean to be a downer, but this isn't going to happen for a long long time. Not after their major financial downturn in April when they had to sack a whole bunch of staff, including most of their community management team, and start chopping away at other areas.

They left the hardware business to save money and themselves, they would be stupid to risk that when they're still struggling financially. Especially with the Wii U on the horizon.

Sorry, but this just isn't going to happen.

Unless Sony continues their downward spiral and totally crashes and burns, there really isn't room in the market for another console. (Any Sony is better at this whole console business than Sega ever was anyway.)

Sort of. Sony mainly changed the climate of consoles. Turned it into a harsh corporate business model. It's more like pulling the rug under your competition by changing the game.
