question on multi party areas

Is there a way to PICK which parties u end up multi partying with?

bumping because i'm trying to figure this out too. i thought you just had to put a password into the password box, and tick the second option, and all other parties you wanted to connect with would have to type in the same password and choose the same option, but apparently that's not the case..

There is. When you join a party, there's a window you normally click through that has two choices. If you pick the second one instead of the first, a separate party will be created in the same instance. You can do this even if you have a filled party, so long as there's enough room in the multi party (look at the green icon that says x/12 to see).

you can lock a multiplay area only for team/clan/guild use, i belive.
