When you use a technique on an enemy...

- Is the technique boosted if the weapon used for casting has a % in it
- ...or is the technique boosted when used against an enemy weak to that element
- ...or do both of these apply, or just one of them?

EDIT: Weapon percentages have no effect on technique damage =(

Wait... what? Can anyone confirm this?

If this is true, I has a sad. :(

(Yet at the same time... this means I don't need to spend any money on high elemental percentages... Hrmmm!)

The elemental bonus damage of techs increases with their level, I believe.

Still don't have a "full" answer to this. Would using say Barta on a Fire weak enemy with a Rod with Fire % do more than one without Fire %?

Element only affects bashing, since the technics aren't the same as PA's (technics can go on the bar, and just use the technic power of the equipped weapon, not the weapon itself)

While I don't particularly mind if the weapon doesn't really help us much(the weapon never really has helped us with their stat percentages or element in any PS game anyways), it does feel a little strange that we aren't rewarded in any way for putting techs onto our equipment. On a plus side though, I guess we save money?

Yeah pretty much it only affects the "Staff smack" damage. If you want a real damage boost in your rod, Technique III tune!

Oh! And get a gunslash!
