PSE BURST! Share your experience : D

A few hours ago I had a blast with a great group of players while in desert and we had a pretty sick pse burst which got me one level and 2 rare items. I hope to run into more of these in the future.

I got my first PSE burst and finally completed the whiny kids client order lol. No extra time or extra round :( BUT I did get a 7* gun from it that I wont use.. yet. Still playing as a hunter. Actually I can equip it i think? there is no x on the item soo hmm lol. But right now hunting a rare sword or wired lance, that weapon is amazing! seriously the grab, throw and make a tornado = pure kick ass lol

I had a PSE Burst that lasted a good 15mins before the Cross Burst ran out... then it chain PSE bursted two more times in a row.

I just got out of a large group.. eyes hurt, painful headache. Yeah.. I'm seeing rainbows too. Honestly it feels good to close my eye.s I haven't been up that long but for over five hours, and it has sapped my energy hardcore.

I guess the PSE/Cross Bursts I've experienced havent been that epic like other people ;<

The longest Cross Burst I've had in a random JP party has been of like 8 minutes, and yet...I didnt see a single rare item drop. Most rare items I've gotten this far (mostly those fugly Fleurette, or whatever, gunslashes) have been by soloing.

Just FYI, we were sort of split up and the group that i was not with called out a code for us to gather. Almost as soon as the word went out we got a PSE so us stragglers hauled butt over to try and capitalize. As soon as we were within range of the initial group i saw this:

CROSS BURST!!!!

CROSS BURST!!!!

CROSS BURST!!!!

so we ended up with a base time of i think 4 minutes on a cross burst and upped that to around 6-7 with bonus time before it ended, then we got a nice little man screaming "ONE MORE TIME!!!" and had another 3-4 minutes of which i managed to take a few screenies:

*EDIT* almost forgot to mention that as soon as we were all gathered the code changed to a duel with Ragne so that was fun. Also, i got no rares at all so =(

Had a 10 minute Blast for my record... the first time I knew and understood what it was after seeing PSE a few times before.

I've run into only three so far sadly. Two of them were very unsatisfying, and the third was in the city mission, which we were able to keep going for almost ten minutes. It was ridiculous how many items were littering the area.

Can someone enlighten me as to what a PSE Burst is? They look fun so I would like to try one if the opportunity arises

from what I've been able to piece together, a PSE burst occurs when a party has been continuously killing a large number of mobs over a decent amount of time. A PSE Burst will activate for all the parties that are currently on the same map. When it happens, a big timer appears at the top of the screen counting down from 60, and during that time your dmg, XP gain, and the chance for rare items items to drop is increased. If another party on the same map also triggers a PSE Burst while the 60 second timer is counting down it will trigger a Cross Burst which, I think, ramps up the level of all the stat modifiers.

I haven't gotten a good PSE Burst yet. And I've never gotten Cross Burst.

About PSE Cross Burst - got it today, it extended the burst to 5 minutes (I think) and after that we got "ONE MORE" so one more minute and also some of those +10sec boosts so we might have been in a boost like 7+ minutes, it was on the city mission but even with +5% item find no rare drop :(

Gotten a pse burst in the desert for like 5-6 mins and in the city like 5 mins in the same day lol, not even one rare dropped with the massive killing spree for me.
