Requirement for Equipments

When you receive an item that you can't equip yet because you haven't met the requirements yet, how do you see what these requirements are? Do they go by base stat like in PSO1 or level req?

I'ts base stat. In the item's first description tab, inmediately under the rarity stars rate you will see a number, which is the required stat level, and then your current one (after a bunch of kanjis that I don't recognize).

There will be two numbers. One indicating how much of that stat you need to equip it, and another number surrounded by ( ) to indicate how much of that stat you have.
