You can search for character and player names from the vision phone, assuming they're using the same names in PSO2.

Just a warning...I believe you search by character names? When I typed in my friend's name--he had a similarly "common" name like Kojiro and Rayne, there were more than 50 that popped up! Although I suspect by the team you've read this message you already have experienced that.
