I still can't seem to find out what exactly I'm doing wrong (as far as unlocking the free-roam Desert)

I'm left with no other choice than to post PICTURES!

The first quest I'm not even sure if it even pertains to unlocking it.

The first quest you need three catadran crystals. They're the snake boss dudes in the caves.

edit- sorry mistake on second quest..

You need to clear desert 2 in 15 minutes, desert 3 in 18 minutes S rank for the second quest (unlocks free desert)
