Hard Mode?

How do you know you have hard mode or not? Is that when choosing a mission it has a higher level than the first mission?

you have to get a quest from Koffee first that makes you kill 5 rockbears, 5 annoying acordion things in caves, and 5 antlions.

Since we're on the subject, what are the requirements for hard mode Free Forest? I can't go to the tundra yet, and if I do another damned desert run, I'm going to stab myself in the eye.

Hard mode free fields are level 30+.

Levels 20-25 are known to be absolute misery. Some poplar choices seem to be Forest 4 Hard Mode, or Desert 1 and 3 Normal Mode.

The emergency mission hard mode is best. (Enemies are over 30) Mind you, the original one. The new one's hard mode is minimum 30.

Try to find a good multiparty group for the Nav Rappy Quest and stay there until level 25. Then do some Desert stuff, its really difficult to find people who do the desert though... I think they hate the Metal Gears.
