I know that most people in pubbie games there use dupes. That's not what I'm complaining about though. It just seems there is an influx of more rude players lately. Either Forces that won't cast any support techs or Hunters that try to kill everything with a J-sword seem to be increasing in number. Heck, I was actually mocked for using a Last Survivor tonight, which was the first time that happened.

Same thing happened to the PSOW block on the DC version. After the block became well-known, the trash usually floats over. Even after moving the block on the DC version, the trash still floated over. No sense moving a block for a week or two of care-free play.

Well i went to Anteres 8-11 the other day.... the called it the "l33t 0nly" lobby... and then I was spammed in l33t mixed with profanity. So I never go to anteres 8 much.. ppl in the games either rush thru hogging items, cuss at u for using a "bad" wep, or just leave. I hate it

Most of the time I am liking the Altair server on either block 1 or 5. I can actually go to a game where people stay in it and dont ditch you right when you need to get that last door opened. They also don't SPAM the heck out of the lobby! I hate it when all people do in lobbys is advertise their rares for trade every second. Has everyone just lost what it means to be a fun game and to enjoy playing with other players? The good players won't say bad things about the weps that you use. I hate being told that my "wep sucks!!!"

I've only seen THREE HUmars (out of the thousands playing) that cast either/both Jellen and Zalure. I should stop giving S/D to any HUmar who doesn't get off their lazy ass and start learning to J/Z targets instead of tossing a weak sauce level 15 rafoie.

Well anyway, back on topic, just follow Abdur's advice. Most people who do this want attention. If they can get you riled, then they'll get more enjoyment out of tormenting you. Ignoring them pisses them off because they're trying to get a response and they're not succeeding.

As for ways of showing your displeasure, stop right here if you're an android.

If you're the only Force in the team and you're not in Ultimate Forest, you can really do a screw job on them.

-Never cast shifta (you don't need it)

-Never cast deband unless you are by yourself

-Never use Jellen or Zalure

-Never resta them if you can help it. I wonder if resta will only affect you if you select the spell from the quick list...not sure, but it's worth a try.

-Never cast Anti or Reverser

-Always spam ra-techs and steal all the exp. Do it just as the monsters are almost dead.


I'm not saying that you should play like that everyday. I've only had to use that playstyle twice so far. It's the rudest way a FO can play, but I have no qualms using it against people I don't like ;>

Hey now, I've seen a lot of Hunewearls using BKB, double cannon, Jswords, item hogging, etc. Why do you always blame HUmars when HUnewearls, or any other class is just as bad, hmm? I'm tired of the HUmar hate. :/

Yeah, like Pixel said, the trash is everywhere. I really did have hope that PSO gamecube would be inflicted with such crap, however I know now that will never be possible until Console online gameing is saved via the server. Oh well, just my luck.

Until that day comes (probably never) I'll keep playing PSO for some fun and gigles.

Problem with that would be the banners I guess. We could do that but so many blocks have been claimed already. And people are still going to follow us around.

I take it your a force,so you should know the cost of casting power up/down and healing spells.

I use a humar and i'll only cast J/Z if theirs no useful force around.

And if their is a force they won't give me a chance to so it's point less.

And not all humars use BKB ,I use god hand and redhandgun,besides most of thoes dupes blow,I know I've used them.

I've only seen 3 HUmars doing that so far, and I've been keeping count. Doesn't mean there aren't more out there, but the ratio of HUmars whom I've personally observed using techs in an effective way vs the newb HUcast wannabes is rather depressing. ST left HUmars with J/Z for a reason.

I think a lot of HUmars out there (not all, obviously) think that J/Z don't ensure exp because it doesn't do damage. Well, that's not true. All spells which affect targets will ensure exp, even if they do 0 dmg.

My point is if more HUmars would learn to cast (at the very least) Zalure instead of just a low-damage Rafoie, they'd benefit the team and ensure exp at the same time. I'm not saying that a HUmar shouldn't use rafoie...just saying a HUmar shouldn't exclusively use rafoie.

Also, a HUmar shouldn't expect to be resta-ed all the time. You're not a tech-less wonder like the casts/caseals. I may have level 20+ resta and the willingness to use it, but there are times when I'm not close enough for the resta to work. Sometimes I'm just too busy killing things to bust a resta off. I've seen a number of HUmars (again with these HUmars! ;> ) get hit and die because they were expecting my Hunny to heal them...from across the room. What, did you expect me to trot over and resta you just because you got a scratch? ;>

This applies only to HUmars. I always give restas to androids at all times. I also expect Hunewearls/Ramarls and forces to heal themselves if they're able to. I mean, if they're surrounded and getting pounded, I'll heal them without question, but if they're at half health and go to engage an ultimate delsaber in combat without healing up...good luck ;D

It's topics like these that make it harder for us useful HUmars. Everyone thinks we are bad and that's not true.

Well, I go out of my way a lot to resta people despite my low resta range. Heck, I even equipt a resta merge if I feel it's needed. I've seen a lot of good HUmars out there who can play well. I've seen poor ones too. Then again, I see poor players of all classes, it's not just the HUmar.

Antares 8 is becoming Vega alright...

So far, the last 4 games I've joined, the people will either not say hi. Or they will say hi and not send me a pipe when I ask for one. Like yesterday... I joined this game, low levels, in Ruins 3. One said 'hello', the others said nothing. One guy was in town, jetted for his pipe and didn't send me a new one..

When I asked for one, they just laughed. So I RAN from R1 to R3..and I didn't go to town to restock when it was time for falz, cause I knew I'd get left.

Next game after that, these two Hunes, were talking then when I entered, they got quiet. Uhm...ok? Another game..WELL I was lefted behind at the Dragon Transporter. He did the countdown AS SOON AS I MATERIALIZED IN THE HUNTERS GUILD WTF!!!!!!????????

And...lately, I've been harrassed by this jackass in the lobby.(This all in the same day). So being alittle depressed about that...I just made my own game in hopes that my character name set the 'mood' for polite sensableness. And it did, One of my friends showed up and 2 more really cool players.

About HUmars. I'm a HUnewearl, and I like playing with HUmars cause of their strength level. Jellen and Zalure are obsolete until you get to Ultimate, so what's the use in casting it? ST has dumbed down Humars, and strong ATP is pretty much all they have.

they don't cast j/z because why bother? they have low level ones when theres a FO let them do it, they have TP to spare don't ask them to do it though if they feel the need to j/z things then let them,

Yesterday, I joined a game where there were two characters, a FOmarl and a RAmarl. I said "Hello" like usual, and asked them if they could make a TP. However, they just ignored me. After waiting a couple of min., I decided to run through Temple Alpha and Beta to get where the girls were. When I finally reached them, they were pretty rude to me, saying "Leave" for no reason at all. Some people need to learn some manners. Agh, just my rant of the day.

Lolita makes a very good point here. Unfortunately no matter where you move the gathering point for all of the PSOWers, the same thing will happen each time. The lobby and block will become very populated which will probably also cause it to become more well-known.

Yea, I know what you mean. I've been yelled at a few times by a force for casting resta/anti. "Stop healing, I'll handle all resta/anti, im the force" she says to me. So I let her, but I just can't help it. If a team member close to me needs help and the force is on the other side of the room, I have a reflex where I MUST heal them.

In teams full of bots, or those not able to s/d, I'm more than happy to play "acting force" seeing as the HUne is a "pseudo-force" having the highest HU MST and lv20 techs. I'd even go out of my way to resta and/or s/d someone half-way across the room even when embroiled in my own situation. And if I'm in a group with one that can use S/D, I check my stats and see if they are below what I get when using it myself. (S20 D19) and if it's lower, I go ahead and use mine on the rest of the team. I don't do this to up-stage anyone, but I just do this to ensure everyone's ATP/DFP is bolstered to its highest possible level. Reading this thread has made more careful of my tsumikiri/bkb usage. In forest, I can do upwards of 1000dmg on a critical hit with those. As far as J/Z, I only use it when my team and I are in a real jam, like most times in ult ruins or seabed. Well, that's my 2 meseta.

Maybe it'd be an idea to have multiple official blocks, like one for each server (EUR, JP, and PAL)?

That way there it's easier to get in (had to wait half an hour before the number of users went below the limit and I could get int), and it would be less likely for arseholes to stir people up, like these lamers:

That's just moving the problem. Then Altair will be a mess, and some of us go there to try to avoid that. ;_; It might be peaceful for a while, but people will follow...

Acknowledging that disruptive behavior annoys you is going to add fuel to the fire, I admit that it's annoying (though not as bad as big-bubble on DC pso)but complaining about it just puts a smile on the persons face. Ive been a lurker at PSO-world for about 2.5 years or so, so hopefully my opinion counts for something.

Here it is: Antares 8 has never been "all that", and Vega is not as bad as some of the more elitist players make it out to be. The same was true of thier DC predecessors, IMHO.

They both have their good points, and both have a share of **** wits.

Unfortunately, there is the danger of those "insiders" leaking the location to their friends who may be "outsiders." These friends tell their friends and a total stranger overhears them, and it starts to spread like wildfire.
