Is there something in game the affects movement speed?

My friend keep saying he's moving faster then me...I told him it could be lag but says can't be that or atleast little eefect :o

Not attacking is the only way, lol

Lag makes other players appear to move at different speeds and stop randomly

unless you are attacking, that will slow you down :P
