charater transferes and locked ships

well i've heard the news on bumped, the 2 week ban may well be longer than that for ships 1 through 5, so this means my freinds will never be able to join me on ship 2, so heres my question, has anybody found out if we are able to make another charater (free of charge) in another ship. any and all infromation would be a bonus.

I thought it was possible to just make another character on another ship, It isn't? Or do you have to pay for it?

You can make another one if you delete your current one (not that means you will have to have NONE before you can do that, deleting additional ones bought with arks cash will just disappear and not free up a slot)
