mag stats

OK I just got mag and I know what all the stats are but I'm Confused on what range support stat on a mag gives you're character I've herd 2 things about it one bieng it gives range attack DMV up plus ability and also range defence and then I have also herd that it gives only ata which gives atk accuracy and ability and then range def but no range attack power ...... I'm confused and I'm trying to feed my mag but I don't want to feed it stuff that gives only again and not range attack dmg ....can someone tell me Which one is true?

Order that they are listed on the mag:

Striking power
Ranged power (equip higher tier guns)
Magic power
Ability (character's proficiency)
Striking defense
Ranged defense (equip higher tier ranged units)
Magic defense

They do exactly what they do for your character, which for the most part, is only for letting your character equip better things earlier. Except in the case of ability, I suppose
